St. Benedicts was founded by the Benedictine Sisters and was established to provide care to an underserved community. The facility's long standing mission is:
"To improve the health of our community and to care for the sick and needy especially the disenfranchised, for in them Christ is served."
This mission still holds today as St. Benedicts carries out its vision of providing health care for the entire family.
